14 militants killed in Afghanistan attacks
In one clash, six militants were killed after security forces repelled their attack on security checkpoints in Wata Pur district of Kunar province on Tuesday, Xinhua reported.
“A local Taliban leader Mullah Nazar Mohammad was among the deads,” provincial police chief General Habbib Sayyedkhil said.
In a similar incident, security forces killed eight Taliban militants, who attacked police checkpoints in Baghlan-e-Markazi district of Baghlan province.
“The attackers tried to ban the main roadway to the neighbouring Kunduz province. Eight militants were killed, seven injured and many others fled the scene after military forces repelled their attack,” Baghlan police chief, General Abdul Jabar Purdili said.
